ΦΛABIOΠOΛIC Draped and turreted bust of the city-goddess to right. Rev. NЄIKOMAXOC APXIЄ TH-MЄNOΘYPЄYC Hermes standing front, head to left, holding purse in his right hand and kerykeion in his left. SNG München 482. SNG von Aulock 4001. Rare. Very fine.


The fact that the name of the archiereus is in the nominative and the ethnic in the dative indicates that this issue was paid for by Nikomachos as a form of euergetism to his polis.
